So you bunked too many classes this semester ?? or just too tired to get hold of your book (...maybe due to its weight ..) ?? or just want to study the techie way ?? Here is your en-route.
NPTEL is an acronym for National Program on Technology Enhanced Learning which is an initiative by all seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) for creating course contents in engineering and science.
Five major engineering disciplines have been covered in this project so far (NPTEL Phase I) at the undergraduate (B.E./B.Tech) level.
- Civil Engineering
- Computer Science and Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics and Communication Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
Basically, Senior Profs of Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) have recorded video of their lectures on the above subjects and they have been hosted at Youtube.these are high quality lectures . The course contents focus mainly on engineering and science.
So here is the list of the lectures....keep visiting the official website of this program http://nptel.iitm.ac.in/ to get latest updates on courses .

well i visited the site last semmester..but it was not useful for that sem..i couldn't find some courses..their level is too high than us..i could find my 3rd level course in their 2nd level courses..so then i left that..but thanks for reminding me again..i think now i could take more help from this site(and bunk more lectures!!)
Nice man !! Thats an exhaustive list !! You have made our job easy !!
well this fellow hasn't mentioned how to download the videos from the site..well just visit you tube search for nptel and then select the video u wanna download. Afterward follow here
yep !! The firefox plugin works wonders !! Do give it a try !
I am so proud to be an Indian !! Universities in US post such materials for a huge sum.. I strongly believe that Education is something that should be accessible free of cost to everyone.. kudos to IISc and IITs.. Jai Hind !!
