So if you havent got one of those leaked versions or if you want the official beta from microsoft then head to THE OFFICIAL WINDOWS 7 WEBSITE and follow the instructions. You got to be patient as their servers are overcrowded and sometimes unavailable. In that case check after 15 mins. To download that you need to have a windows live id. Its fairly easy to set it up.
Moreover after the installation of this beta ( build 7000 ) you need to download a patch which will cure a bug which renders mp3 files corrupt and fixes other issues in Windows Media Center, recorded TV playback issues in Windows Media Player .
Get this patch from HERE
Hope you guys download it and help microsoft by beta testing it and reporting bugs.
PS: do not turn off windows updates in win 7 beta because important patches may be downloaded in future as bugs are fixed.
Happy beta testing !!

I am definitely eager to start testing this Windows, hoping it works out better than Vista. My one concern is how it works with certain wireless internet connections (especially ones that are more local than the national services). But, I guess it will only be known with testing.
thanks ecrunner for your comments.
It will definately perform better than Vista (from various sources I have heard ). It is much lighter and responsive. They have resolved minor issues with UAC of Vista. Dont forget to install the patch I have mentioned else you risk losing your mp3 files.
And hey if Vista performs as per expectations in wireless internet connections, win 7 shouldnt have any problems because it has a somewhat upgraded kernel of Vista.
